# GĐ2 scope confirmation

GĐ2 is operational inference/backfill only. It must not change GĐ1 training logic. It consumes fixed GĐ1 artifacts and produces operational NetCDF and HTML products for real-time drought forecast.

Important fixed filenames:

- GĐ1 climatology: `outputs/Clim/Obs_Monthly_Clim.nc`, `outputs/Clim/Mod_Monthly_Clim.nc`.
- GĐ2 pr/t2 forecast: `outputs/yyyy/mm/dd/Ope_Pr_T2_and_Ano.nc`.
- GĐ2 drought forecast: `outputs/yyyy/mm/dd/Dr_Prob.nc`.

Scientific locks:

- pr/t2 issue updates within a month are ensemble means of available issue products for pr/t2 only.
- SPEI deterministic product must be `SPEI_k_ens` from the single Best continuous SPEI-BC AI model; do not use SPEI ensemble mean.
- Drought probabilities are calculated from SPEI members.
